The safest way to make a password is to make it at least 6 characters long, mix upper- and lowercase, using specialty characters like @ or $ and of course using both numbers and letters.

Something like that might be difficult to remember, so to make it memorable, make up a sentence and use the first letter in each word.

Example:
I have a money tree at my house.

That could become:

I have a(1) money($) tree at(@) my house.

First letter is uppercase
A becomes 1
Money becomes $
At become @

New password:

Ih1$t@mh

Another example:

Two can play that game

Becomes:

2cpt@G

And so on...

If you use online banking always have a separate password for that.

To add even more security to online banking you could even dedicate a separate browser. If you don't use this browser for any other websites, it would not mix any cookies or other things installed with other sites. This would be an added level of security when banking online.

Many online social networking sites and forums do not encrypt your password. Some even send them back to you in an email after you sign up.

At Web by Pixel only you know your password. If you forget it we reset it and then you can go in and change it to a secret password again that only you know.
